Established with the aim of making education financing a hassle-free experience, GyanDhan has helped thousands of students in obtaining higher education loans. As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance access to overseas education, we have collaborated with Prodigy Finance to introduce scholarships worth $2500 for students who are planning to pursue engineering courses overseas.

The Prodigy Finance - GyanDhan Engineering Scholarship will be awarded to students at the start of the Fall 2023 academic year. Two students stand a chance to win a scholarship worth $2500 each. The scholarship is merit-based and will be presented to students with exceptional academic records and calibre.

How does the Prodigy Finance - GyanDhan Engineering Scholarship work?

Prodigy Finance - GyanDhan Engineering Scholarship is a fixed financial aid amount that will be granted to two students based on the merit and strength of their application submitted. These scholarships will be awarded to students pursuing engineering-based courses.

Eligibility criteria for the Prodigy Finance - GyanDhan Engineering Scholarship

Students who fit the below-mentioned criteria can apply for the scholarship -

  • The applicant must be an Indian resident and should have completed his/her undergraduate program at an Indian university.
  • This scholarship is designed only for students who wish to pursue Masters in Engineering in the USA, Canada, and UK.
  • Applicant must apply for an education loan through GyanDhan at Prodigy Finance.
  • Candidates must have accepted an admission offer from the university by the time we select a winner in September.
  • To be eligible for the scholarship, students must have applied for an education loan through GyanDhan to Prodigy Finance and submitted their scholarship application before the deadline. However, if a student applied for the scholarship but did not receive an education loan from Prodigy Finance, they will not be considered for the scholarship.
  • Students going for undergraduate studies, conferences, exchange programs, and seminars are not eligible for the scholarship.

Selection procedure for Prodigy Finance - GyanDhan Engineering Scholarship

The Prodigy Finance - GyanDhan Engineering Scholarship aims to support meritious students pursuing postgraduate studies in engineering courses. The selection process will be thorough and meticulous. The selection of students will be done based on -

  • Academic performance of the candidate
  • Proof of GRE/TOEFL/IELTS
  • Statement of purpose and letter of recommendation
  • Strength of the profile submitted

A selection committee will be formed to judge the applicants and will recommend students based on the above-mentioned eligibility criteria.

FAQs

Applicants are eligible to apply for the scholarship, but it is mandatory for them to have accepted an offer from a university before the final decision is made. The scholarship amount will only be released after the university enrollment has been verified.

Postgraduate engineering programs with a course duration of 2 years only are eligible for the scholarship.

The scholarship is exclusively available to students who have submitted a loan application via GyanDhan. Furthermore, the loan application must receive approval, and the loan amount must be disbursed by Prodigy Finance to be eligible for the scholarship.

GyanDhan provides multiple scholarships to students. Additionally, they offer a flagship scholarship called the GyanDhan scholarship that awards INR 1,00,000 to a single student.
