    1. Engineering

    The School offers multiple undergraduate degrees that include:

    Master of Engineering is also available if you’re looking for a postgraduate engineering program.

  • 2. Information Technology

    The university’s IT programs train students to be at the forefront of technology, digital industries computer science, hardware and software development, computer forensics, system security, e-business and internet technologies, system architecture project management, computer aid engineering, and AI.

    Western Sydney University is the only university in Sydney to deliver ICT (Health Information Management) and Entrepreneurship (Games Design & Simulation) degrees.

    You can also choose to study the new Master of Information Governance program or a selection of Advanced Networking or Information Communications Technology (ICT) postgraduate courses to further your career. A Bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship (Games Design & Simulation) can be studied as a stand-alone degree or as a Bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship in combination with any Bachelor's degree from Western. Other study options include Bachelor of Computer Science, Master of Data Science.

    Master in Information and Communications Technology provides specializations and cross-disciplinary approaches that address the real-world ICT issues while tailoring training needs to meet career objectives. As a graduate of this course, following career opportunities include Systems Architect; Systems integrator; Web analyst; Software quality analyst; Business programmer; Software engineer analyst.

    3. Industrial Design

    Industrial Design involves the synthesis of technical knowledge with an understanding of the needs of building occupants, the context of the site, and aesthetics. This degree develops students’ expertise in the design of integrated, practical, spatial, technical, and ecologically sustainable construction projects.

    Educators and teachers are trained for schools, pre-schools, and adult education environments of the 21st century by The School of Education. A Pathway to Teaching degree in Arts, Business, Health Science (HPE), Graphic Design or Science offers access to a vast range of subject majors. One can continue to do a Master of Teaching and become an inspirational educator in early childhood, primary and secondary school.

    There is also an option for Western Bachelor of Education (Primary, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education), a degree designed to make a difference in the lives of Indigenous students and their communities. Teachers pursuing postgraduate programs may expand their credentials to include STEM, Leadership & Management, Inclusive Education Language Teaching & Bilingualism, Curriculum, Social Ecology, Science, and Mathematics. 

    3. School of Humanities and Communication Arts

    The School of Humanities and Communication Arts occupies a high rank in the field of Arts and Humanities: ranked top 200-250 in Time Higher Education subject rankings, ranked 329th in QS subject rankings, ranked 146th in CWTS Leiden rankings, and ranked 114th in Best Global Universities.

    The School offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs, in disciplinary fields of arts, communication, creative industries, design (visual communication), humanities, interpreting and translation, languages, music, and creative music therapy. It is located on the Bankstown, Parramatta, and Penrith campuses. 

    4. School of Law

    Western Sydney Law School excels in research, teaching and community engagement and ranks among the world's top 3 percent of universities. Western Sydney Law School offers a range of postgraduate courses such as a Master of Laws (International Governance), Master of Information Governance, and Graduate Diploma in Australian Migration Law.
