Australian School of Petroleum (ASP)

The industry-focused degrees of the Australian School of Petroleum provide practical experience and insights to help learners build a rewarding career in petroleum engineering, geoscience, and management. Petroleum engineers are working around the world to extract supplies of oil and gas on land and offshore. Many of the graduates are now working in consulting, research, analytics and management positions within government; tertiary education; research institutes; and the corporate sector.

The Australian School of Petroleum offers two postgraduate research degrees: Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy.

A two-year full-time (or part-time) Master of Philosophy (MPhil) teaches students about applying research methodology to evaluate literature and results in your field. The PhD is a flagship research award and is the standard credential for a career in research or a position in academia.

    Pure Sciences

    The Faculty of Sciences is a multidisciplinary centre for state-of-the-art teaching and research.

    It has four schools conducting rigorous research: School of Agriculture, Food & Wine; School of Animal & Veterinary Sciences; School of Biological Sciences; School of Physical Sciences. 

    1. School of Agriculture, Food & Wine  

    The School of Agriculture, Food and Wine at the University of Adelaide's Waite campus offers a world-class focus in scientific research, education and infrastructure.

    It is home to the only degrees in agricultural sciences and viticulture and oenology (wine science) in South Australia, as well as the internationally renowned Waite Research Institute.     2. School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences 

    To future animal and veterinary researchers, the School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences offers world-class, hands-on education and training.
