The University of New South Wales - Overview & Background

Established in 1949, the University of New South Wales is situated in the suburb of Kensington, northeast Sydney. 

Ranked 4th in Australia, it recorded the highest median ATAR in 2012, and top 500 students made their way to the University. It houses around 35,679 undergraduates and 18,226 postgraduates. It boasts of having brilliant research facilities along with impressive links with the industry. It also has a lot of societies in the college, aimed at an all-round development of its students.     The campus is divided into the upper and lower campuses. An elevation rise between the quadrangle and the Scientia building separates the two campuses.
