The Department of Biomedical at the University of Saskatchewan is a site of interdisciplinary learning and activities. It combines Biomedical Engineering with physical Sciences and Engineering with Clinical Medicine and Life Sciences. The department does not offer any undergraduate courses, however, it offers M.Sc, M.Eng, post-graduate diploma and PhD programs in its graduate course.
The M.Sc and M.Eng. programs are two-year courses wherein students can choose either the thesis-based or the project-based option, while the PhD course has a four-year duration. It has 74 full-time working faculty, wherein most of them are the recipients of International Embryo Technology Society Mentor of the Year Award, SmithKline Beecham Award for Research Excellence and numerous grants in eminent universities along with publications in internationally recognized journals and papers.

The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan aims to equip their students with the necessary skills to tackle careers as professional engineers.

B.E. in Chemical Engineering
Biochemical Option
Mineral Processing Option
Petroleum Option under its undergraduate wing.
The graduate programs include M.Sc. and PhD courses in Biological Engineering and M.Eng., M.Sc. and PhD in Chemical Engineering. The graduate program in Biological Engineering is project or thesis-based. The M.Sc program is for two years, while the PhD programme is for four years.
The M.Eng. and M.Sc programs under chemical engineering are of two years each, while the PhD program is for a minimum of four years. Chemical Engineering Student Society, ChESS, is an initiative by the department wherein the members facilitate social outings, conduct tutorials and organize graduation ceremonies for the graduating students in the department.
Its primary aim is to create a close-knit community within the department.
The board of faculty consists of 15 full-time working faculty who are well-versed in research areas such as Fluidization and Multiphase Flow Systems, Clean Energy and Sustainability. They have organized and participated in talks, have been published in illustrious journals, have authored books and chapters for significant academic texts.

The department focuses on the design, construction, management, and planning of the built environment . In its undergraduate program, the department provides degrees in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering and Environmental Engineering. The department’s graduate program offers M.Eng., M.Sc. and PhD courses in Civil Engineering.
Graduate courses in Civil Engineering cover four broad areas: Transportation; Geological, Geotechnical, and Geo-environmental Engineering; Structures and Materials Science and Water Resources and Environmental Engineering.
The department has a total of 25 full-time working faculty who have been published in internationally recognized journals and have organized and participated in conferences.
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan is completely accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board. Its curriculum is carefully designed to provide students with the right learning at the right stage while placing major emphasis on core engineering subjects for the first two year and then on subjects specialized in technical and design-based principles in the third and fourth years. It offers B.E., B.E & B.Sc (dual-degree) for its undergraduate program and P.G.D, M.Eng., M.Sc. and PhD for its graduate program.
The postgraduate diploma is a course-based program, while both M.Eng. and M.Sc. have the option of being either project or thesis-based. The Ph.D. is a four-year thesis-based program.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan follows an interdisciplinary approach, as it is linked to the divisions of Biomedical Engineering and Environmental Engineering. The department also fosters partnership with popular industries and organizations for research to facilitate students with their design projects. The department offers Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.E.) - Mechanical Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.E.) - Mining Option as its undergraduate programmes.
The graduate program offers M.Sc, M.Eng., P.G.D. and PhD programs. In the M.Sc. and PhD programs, graduate students are required to complete course-work and a project, while P.G.D. students are only required to complete course-work. All graduate programs are conducted under the supervision of a faculty member. The department has laboratories for specific research purposes such as Applied Mechanics and Manufacturing, Biomechanics and Bioengineering, Fluid Power and Controls, Materials Science and Metallurgy and Thermo-fluids and Heat Transfer.
The board of faculty has a total of 24 full-time members who have undertaken various projects such as the Development of Particle Image Velocimetry Technique, Particle Image Velocimetry of Wall Jet Flows and Turbulence Modelling and are the recipients of New Research Award, Teaching Excellence Award, to name a few.
