Civil

The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department offers a 4-year Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering with Architectural Engineering Emphasis.The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
B.S students in Civil Engineering may also apply for the B.S/MBA program. The BS (Engineering) + MBA is designed for undergraduate engineering students in a way such that they can obtain a bachelor’s degree in 4 years and an MBA degree in just 1 additional year.

The Graduate program offers a Master of Science (MS) in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Environmental Engineering (online). 
Students may choose to specialize in the areas of Construction Engineering and Management, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, and Structural Engineering.

    Computer Science and Computer Engineering

    The Department of Computer Science offers a 4-year Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. B.S students in Computer Science may also apply for the B.S/MBA program. The BS (Computer Science) + MBA is designed for undergraduate engineering students in a way so that students can obtain a bachelor’s degree in 4 years and an MBA degree in just 1 additional year.

    The Graduate degrees offered by the Department of Computer Science are a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Software Engineering (online). The objective of the Master of Science in Software Engineering is to prepare individuals for careers as software engineers and software process managers in industry and government agencies.

    The faculty in the Departments of Computer Science and Computer Engineering consists of 12 full Professors and 18 Associates.The Department of Computer Engineering offers a 4-year BS in Computer Engineering and a 4-Year Integrated BS/MS degree in Computer Engineering. The department also offers an MS in Computer Engineering as a graduate program.

    Electrical Engineering

    The department of Electrical Engineering offers a 4-year Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. The Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.In addition, B.S students in Electrical Engineering may also apply for the B.S/MBA program. The BS (Electrical Engineering) + MBA is designed for undergraduate Engineering students so that they can obtain a bachelor’s degree in 4 years and an MBA degree in just 1 additional year.

    Graduate degrees offered are the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and MS in Electrical Engineering with an option in Systems Engineering.
    The program may be taken choosing one of the three options - satisfactory completion of a final written comprehensive examination on coursework; or satisfactory completion of a formal project and a final oral comprehensive examination on coursework; or Satisfactory completion and oral defense of a thesis.

    The undergraduate degree offered by the Department of Mechanical Engineering is the 4-year B.S in Mechanical Engineering. With the BS (Mechanical Engineering) + MBA, undergraduate engineering students can obtain a bachelor’s degree in 4 years and an MBA degree in just 1 additional year.
    The Graduate School offers an MS (Master of Science) in Mechanical Engineering. The Mechanical Engineering MS course has three options to complete the degree which are coursework only, Thesis and Project.
    Courses offered in the department are Power and Energy, Design and Materials for Manufacturing, Thermal and Fluids Engineering, Robotics, Controls and Automated Manufacturing.

    Some research areas in this department are - Application of fiber optical sensors for vibration damping of continuous structures; Assistive technology needs for older adults; Human motion planning with reduced mobility with the goal of developing novel technologies to facilitate the recovery of patients with neurological disorders; Combustion of traditional and alternative fuels.
