Brief Introduction

Fleming College, also known as Sir Sandford Fleming College, is located at Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. The college is home to more than 6,800 full-time and 10,000 part-time students. There are campuses at Sutherland, Frost, Haliburton, and Cobourg.

Located at the heart of the Kawarthas in Peterborough, Fleming's Sutherland Campus is the largest campus of Fleming College. The campus hosts around 4,380 full-time students. It has state-of-the-art learning and teaching facilities and six on-campus student residence buildings. Situated on the grounds of Sutherland Campus, the Peterborough campus comprises of a triple gymnasium, aquatic facilities and the latest fitness equipment. The Frost campus is home to the School of Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences which offers 20 programs.

The Haliburton campus is home to the Haliburton School of Art + Design, known for providing high quality arts programming.

At the Lindsay and Peterborough campuses, residential facilities for students are available. Students are usually placed with 1-5 roommates of any gender identity. The college has libraries at Sutherland and Frost campuses and Haliburton School of the Arts. The libraries boast of harbouring over 200000 e-books, thousands of journals, videos, citation management tools, research guides, tutorials, and so on. Fleming College also houses the Office of Applied Research and Innovation which supports the faculty who are keen to do research. 

In 2016, it was announced that the college;s Frost and Sutherland campuses were going to receive fu4nding from federal and provincial governments to upgrade their classrooms and labs. 

School of Environmental & Natural Resource Sciences

The focus of the School of Environmental & Natural Resource Sciences is the environment. Field trips, field schools and applied projects help to put your new skills into practice. 
The school also houses a Centre for Advancement of Water and Wastewater Technologies (CAWT), which is a water research centre with advanced infrastructure and accredited on-site facilities. CAWT plays a major role in training students through the Environmental Technology and the Advanced Water Systems Operations and Management Co-op programs at Fleming. It is alo involved in technology transfer with partners.

Students from this school undergo rigorous training in classroom, lab, clinical and field placement settings and therefore get the best of both theoretical and practical learning experience. The Pharmacy Technician lab has a fully-networked dispensary with 30 individual laptops equipped with industry standard KROLL software. The lab offers facilities for dispensing, compounding, long-term care with hospital setting, and a sterile preparation area. There is a Spa + Clinic facility for the Esthetician and Massage Therapy programmes. It is a 4,470 square-foot lab that provides client care areas for spa treatments and therapeutic massage and a shared reception space.

The school houses the Kawartha Trades and Technology Center. It is spread over 87,000-square-foot and has a skills training facility, located at Sutherland Campus in Peterborough.
