Langara College was started in 1965 as a part of Vancouver community college in the beautiful land of Vancouver BC in Canada. It became an independent public college in 1994. More than 21,000 students pursue an education at Langara College every year. The college hosted international students representing 93 countries in the year 2018-2019. They offer 90+ programs and more than 1000 courses. It offers university transfer programs that enable the students to study part of their degree in a smaller group and get more personal attention.

Langara College has its campus at two locations in Vancouver, namely Langara College Main Campus and West Broadway Centre.
Langara College offers various field study opportunities to students like archaeology field school; India connects scholarship program; European field studies in Italy, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam field studies in business and culture; China field studies; Gothic field studies the UK; New York theatre; and Japan field studies in history and culture.

Infrastructure
Langara College has a huge, beautiful and organized campus in Vancouver. The campus has accessibility entrance, parking areas for bikes and other vehicles; and an electric vehicle charging station. The library is at the heart of the campus and has huge collections of books, journals, magazines, newspapers; and media materials to support all the research needs of the students.
The library offers a variety of study spaces, computer labs, wireless access; and printing facilities. All the buildings and classrooms including the library are gold certified by the LEED Canada for their energy-efficient design. The classrooms are well-equipped with technologies like learning management systems, web conferencing, screencasting, podcasting, video management, and production and presentation tools.
The college also has a bookstore that sells all the textbooks and stationery needed by the students. The cafeteria has various food options and also has counters of prominent food chains including Subway and Starbucks. It has a gymnasium and sports facilities in a separate building. It also offers inclusive childcare at the Child Development Center. The on-campus health service provides medical services to students and staff.
Residing Options
Langara College does not provide on-campus residences. The students can choose either off-campus housing or can explore the homestay options. Students can rent houses, apartments, and studios, and the rental prices range from $500 to over $1,000 per month. The college supports the homestay program through an exclusive office called the Langara Homestay Office which is situated on the main campus.
The program sets up thousands of students every year with Canadian families. The facilities offered in a homestay are fully-furnished private bedrooms, food, shared household appliances and also give an opportunity to the students to practice English and learn about the Canadian culture.
