The State University of New York at Buffalo is a public research university which has its campuses in Buffalo and Amherst, New York, United States. It is commonly referred to as SUNY Buffalo or the University at Buffalo (UB) and was formerly known as the University of Buffalo. Most of the main STEM departments are located in North Campus.

Buffalo sits along the U.S.–Canada border. New York City, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Toronto and Montreal are all within easy reach, and Niagara Falls is just 20 minutes away.
