The College of Engineering and Applied Science under the University of Cincinnati provides BS, MS, M.Eng and Ph.D. degrees in Aerospace Engineering. The UC School of Aerospace Systems has the second oldest Aerospace Engineering program in the country. The BS program is a 5-year non-thesis course.

The MS is a 2-year research program in different areas such as Dynamics and Control, Fluid Mechanics, Propulsion Systems, Solids, and Structures. The M.Eng course is a 2-year non-thesis graduate training program. The Ph.D. degree is a 5-year course where students embark on advanced research on the four major areas of Dynamics and Control, Fluid Mechanics, Propulsion systems, Solids, and Structures.

Architecture

The College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning under the University of Cincinnati provides  BS, MS, Ph.D. degrees in Architecture. The BS program is a 4-year non-thesis program. The MS program has a 2-year course in architectural theories and research methods. In addition, students need to undertake research and submit a thesis.

The M.Eng program is a non-thesis graduate course of 1.5 years focussing primarily on students’ acquisition of skills through practical work and advanced training. Material Science

The College of Engineering and Applied Science under the University of Cincinnati provides BS, MS, M.Eng and Ph.D. courses in Material Science. The BS program is a 1-year non-thesis course where students mostly design and manufacture industrial components. The MS course is of 2 years which offers programs in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering.

Through research, students will learn the use of mechanical testing systems (MTS), electron microscopy, small-angle and wide-angle X-ray diffraction and Raman, infrared and X-ray photoelectron, infrared spectroscopy. The M.Eng graduate program is of 2 years which focuses primarily on practical work and training so that the students can acquire the relevant skills. The College of Engineering and Applied Science provides BS, MS, M.Eng and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering. The BS course is a 5-year non-thesis course which includes both theory and fieldwork.

The M.Eng graduate program is again for 2 years providing advanced training to students for the acquisition of skills. The graduate program in the School of Dynamic System (SDS) offers both MS and Ph.D. degrees. The master’s course is of 2 years and requires the completion of a thesis.

The Ph.D. course is of 5 years with seven major research areas.
