A mile south of the city center, the university's main campus is close to Victoria Park, Wyggeston, and Queen Elizabeth I College. According to the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, Leicester University maintains a green campus and is placed 35th globally and 9th in the UK for its green dedication, initiatives, and infrastructure. The institution is now investing 300 million GBP in campus redevelopment. Electron Microscopy Facility, Laboratories, Advanced Imaging Facility (AIF), Leicester Imaging Technologies (LITE), Genomics Core Facility, Libraries, and many other cutting-edge facilities are available on campus.

Accommodation

If applied before September 1 in the year of resumption, all new first-year students and postgraduate students are guaranteed an offer at the university-managed housing. Eight halls of residence in the village and five halls of residence in the city, each with its own particular features and range of room types/prices, are available for undergraduate students to stay in. Both, The City and The Village, have postgraduate housing available. The City is close to the college and the city center and offers brand-new lodging near Freemens Common. Residents will receive a free University shuttle bus pass for convenience in getting to and from the university. The Village is bordered by a lot of green open space. In order to gather postgraduate students together at each location, both campuses provide self-catered housing choices.

The cost of lodging at the halls is between 86 and 178 GBP (about 8,800 and 18,400 INR) per week. All energy costs, fast Wi-Fi, insurance for the contents of the room, fees for scheduled events and activities, and access to round-the-clock support services are all included in the price.

    Both EU and non-EU students are permitted to apply to the University of Leicester. Admissions for international students may have additional criteria. The prerequisites for admission are also somewhat variable and course-specific.
