All full-time students are eligible to apply for residence options offered by the university.
Student Residences manages four residential buildings on campus: Arthur V. Mauro Residence, Mary Speechly Hall, Pembina Hall Residence and University College Residence.
These buildings have rooms ranging from traditional-style residence rooms for first-year students to apartment-style suites for more mature students.
Student Residences emphasizes leadership and services drawing upon the benefits of healthy living and community building, assisting students in becoming responsible global citizens. There is also a Homestay programme for international students.
The university website guides the students through the process of writing a cover letter and CV. The students are also coached on how to give interviews. The Career Services hosts and co-hosts three major Career Fairs each year. The University of Manitoba (U of M or UM) is a public research university in Manitoba, Canada. Its main campus is located in the Fort Garry neighbourhood of southern Winnipeg with other campuses throughout the city.
The nearest airport is Winnipeg, and there are numerous flights touching down. It is a 15-20 cab ride to the university. You can get down at the Union station if you have caught a train. There are a number of city bus routes that connect the university to the other parts of the town.
There are a number of galleries and parks in the city that the students may visit during the weekends.
