The Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics (College of Science and Engineering) that began with aircraft design is today leading the research efforts in entire aerospace systems. By offering comprehensive training that includes extensive hands-on experience, the students are made a part of the most challenging aspects of aerospace science. The department has the reputation of carrying out cutting-edge research, both on-campus and with leading government and private collaborators and involving students on live projects. About 16 specialized research centers and laboratories propel research at the department.
