The University of Strathclyde is a renowned technological university on a global scale. Founded in 1796 as a place of "useful learning", the University is still dedicated to research, teaching, helpful learning, and employability.

The institute provides a variety of on-campus accommodation options to its applicants who submit their applications by August 25 of the intake year. The university has 9 residence halls: Andrew Ure, Birkbeck, Chancellors, Forbes, Carnett, James Goold, Muray, James Young, and Thomas Campbell. Weekly rates typically range from 105 to 137 GBP. Basic amenities like lighting, cleaning, etc. are included at this cost.

The proximity of the available hostel services to all of the shared amenities, including classrooms, libraries, computer laboratories, and sports facilities, is an added plus. 

The features that are common to a few residence halls are listed below.

  • Andrew Ure Hall: Hall shared by undergraduate and graduate students, men and women. It can accommodate 300 students at once. consisting of single rooms in shared apartments for 4 to 6 applicants.
  • Birkbeck hall: A building for students that can house 384 people at once. Six hopefuls will share one-bedroom apartments. Both male and female pupils share this trait.
  • Single rooms at James Young Hall, a housing for graduate students, are meant to be shared by four to six candidates.

Be aware that the university offers housing options, which typically range in price from 105 to 137 GBP per week.

More than 100 nations contribute 23,000 students to the University of Strathclyde. Both UK students and international students must go through the same general application process. However, there are certain additional conditions that must be met by overseas students, such as minimum ELP scores and the visa application process.
