North Carolina State University Location

The North Carolina State University is located in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is situated in the west of downtown Raleigh, an enchanting city known for oak trees that line its streets. NCSU is a part of the Triangle area with Duke University in Durham and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Research Triangle houses some of the leading research-based companies which is an added incentive to the students studying in this university.

The main campus is divided into three parts – the central campus, north campus and south campus. The central campus is also known as the Centennial Campus. It also houses a separate Biomedical Campus.

Owing to the fact that the university is located in one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States, there is an abundance of transportation and recreational services available to the students. There are a large number of bypasses and roads connecting the university to various places within and outside the city.

NCSU also has its own transit system, the Wolfline, which provides bus service along multiple routes serving the university's campuses in southwest Raleigh.
Downtown Raleigh is home to some of the most historic buildings in the city. This opens up a new arena for the students to explore in their leisure time. There is an arboretum and botanical garden managed by NCSU which is open for visits without any charge.

The nearest airport from the main campus is the Raleigh Durham International Airport which lies about 11 miles northwest of the university.
