Northwestern University, also called NWU is a private research university, which was founded in 1851. Almost all its undergraduate programs are amongst the most selective in the United States. The University also has some highly ranked graduate and professional schools such as Kellogg School of Management, Feinberg School of Medicine, Pritzker School of Law, and Medill School of Journalism. Its engineering school, the Robert R. McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science, offers 15 full-time master’s degree programs and four part-time master’s programs for students to choose from.

Infrastructure:
The campus of NWU, spread across 379 acres, is divided into two parts. The first campus is the Evanston campus and the second campus is the Chicago campus. Both the campuses are 12 miles apart. Engineering students go to the Evanston campus while students headed to the law school, medical school, School of Professional Studies, and part-time MBA program go to the Chicago campus.
Both the campuses are dotted with buildings that are built with different architectural styles and have state-of-the-art facilities. The library system of the University has more than 5 million volumes. The campus also has excellent recreation centers, aquatics center, and athletic centers.
Residing Options:
Though NWU offers on-campus accommodation to its students, a large percentage of graduate students prefer off-campus accommodation as it offers them greater privacy and luxury. Most students prefer living at Chicago Avenue and Clark Street and pay $500 per month for it.

NWU has very good faculty – all of whom are dedicated to teaching and ready to help out students.

Verdict:
The Kellogg School of Management of this University is very good and the management school is also much sought after.
Location
Northwestern University is located in the Evanston area of North Shore Chicago. It is easily accessible from O'Hare (33-minute car ride) airport. The Midway airport is almost a 1hr 15 min car ride. The campus is on the CTA Purple Line and is close to the Davis, Foster, and Noyes stops. The Metra frequently services the route to Evanston from Chicago and the northern suburbs on the Union Pacific/North Line. There are a few bus services that also connect the campus with the city.
On the weekends, you may visit the Baha'i Temple – one of the seven Baha'i temples in the world. You can also visit the Lakefill to catch breathtaking views of the skyline from this campus lakeside property. It is also a great place for studying, picnicking, jogging, and biking.
There are also quite a large number of places to hang out at an assortment of cafes, restaurants, and bars. Some of the major ones are Coffee Lab, Unicorn Café, and Peeled – a juice bar.
