Southern Cross University - Overview & Background
The Southern Cross University was established in 1994 with campuses at Lismore and Coffs Harbour in northern New South Wales and at the southern end of the Gold Coast in Queensland.
The campus at Lismore includes a science and engineering precinct, environmental laboratories, contemporary music and visual arts studios and the SCU Health Clinic. The Gold Coast campus has specialist teaching facilities for nursing and midwifery and allied health disciplines such as occupational therapy, podiatry, pedorthics and speech pathology. The Coffs Harbour campus has specialist nursing laboratories, a biosciences laboratory, and psychology research facilities.

The Southern Cross University also runs the National Marine Science Centre (NMSC) in Coffs Harbour along with The Hotel School Sydney and The Hotel School Melbourne in partnership with Mulpha Australia.

Southern Cross University Location
To arrive at the Gold Coast campus, you can take a flight to the Gold Coast Airport, from where the university manages a free pick up. If you are arriving via Brisbane International Airport, you can use the Pacific Motorway or AirTrain to reach Gold Coast. You can either drive from Sydney, or take a flight.
To reach the Lismore campus, you are recommended to fly to Sydney and then take a domestic flight to Lismore. Premier Motor Service and country link have buses and trains respectively running from Central Railway Station, Sydney. But you are advised to use the Airport Link Train.
If you are coming from Brisbane, Byron Easy Bus and Premier motor service offer bus services there.
To reach the Coff Harbour campus, you can fly to the Coff Harbour airport, from where a University staff can pick you up. There are flights available from Sydney to Coff Harbour. Greyhound Australia and Premier Motor Service also provide bus services from Sydney and Brisbane. You can also use the NSW Train Link.
