Southern Cross University Entry Requirements
Undergraduate Programs:

Must have completed a recognised senior secondary school certificate or an overseas equivalent.

Students can also enter through approved pathways such as a foundation program, diploma, advanced diploma, associate degree, or equivalent study accepted by SCU.
Postgraduate Coursework Programs:

A recognised bachelor’s degree or equivalent international qualification is required for admission.

Some programs may also consider relevant academic background or professional experience depending on the course.
Higher Degree by Research (HDR) Programs:

Applicants generally need a prior qualification equivalent to an Australian bachelor’s degree or higher, depending on the research area.

Applicants must also meet SCU’s English language requirements if their previous studies were not completed in English.
English Language Requirements:

For many courses: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall, with no band below 6.0.

Alternate accepted tests/scores: e.g. TOEFL iBT 79 with minimum sub-scores for writing/reading/listening/speaking, or PTE Academic 58 under similar conditions.

For English proficiency pathways (for those who don’t meet test-score criteria directly) SCU allows completion of approved English-for-Academic courses or prior English-medium study under specified conditions.
Southern Cross University Scholarship for International Students
Vice Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Scholarship:

This scholarship provides a fee reduction of AUD $ 8,000 per year toward eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees.

Applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance in previous studies and meet the entry requirements for their chosen program.
Southern Cross Global Regional Scholarship:

Students must be commencing full-time studies at one of SCU’s regional campuses and satisfy the academic standards for admission.

Eligible recipients receive up to AUD $8,000 per year as a contribution to their tuition fees.
SCU International Regional Scholarship:

The scholarship grants a partial tuition reduction, with the value varying by program and availability.

Applicants must hold an offer for a coursework degree at a regional campus and meet the university’s academic entry criteria.
SCU International Women in STEM Scholarship:

Female students enrolling in approved STEM programs must meet course-specific academic requirements and show interest in science or technical fields.

This scholarship offers a tuition discount of up to AUD 5,000 for eligible candidates.
Southern Cross Global Scholarship:
