The University of Florida is located at Gainsville which is the county seat and largest city in Alachua County, Florida, United States. Gainesville Regional Airport (GNV) is the closest airport to the university offering domestic flights on American Airlines and Delta. Most flights in and out travel regionally to cities like Atlanta, Miami, and Charlotte.

Jacksonville International Airport is located 130km from Gainesville, approximately an hour and a half by car. It's the closest major international airport to the Florida city and offers many more options than GNV. Eight airlines fly in and out of the airport, including Delta, United, and Southwest.

Flights from Atlanta to Gainesville take about 1 and a half hours and a bus from the airport to the University takes about 30 minutes.
