The campus of the University of Notre Dame is spread across 1,250 acres and is extremely beautiful. The campus consists of 143 buildings that are spread all over. The old and new buildings both have a historic exterior.

The library system of the campus consists of the Theodore Hesburgh Library – which has over a million volumes. The University also has excellent facilities for sports – including the Notre Dame stadium.

The University of Notre Dame offers on-campus housing to its students. It has 30 residence halls for undergraduates and over 600 halls for graduates. The University also offers assistance in off-campus accommodation in case a student is unable to find housing within the campus.

    The University of Notre Dame du Lac is a Catholic research university situated adjacent to South Bend, Indiana, in the United States. Notre Dame is a large, highly residential private research university. The main campus covers 1250 acres in a suburban setting. It houses a number of recognizable landmarks, such as the Golden Dome, the "Word of Life" mural (popularly known as Touchdown Jesus), and the Basilica.

    The largest city near Notre Dame in Chicago. South Shore Line operates a train from Chicago loop to the South Bend Regional Airport (around 2-hour trip).

    The one-way fare is 13 USD. Alternatively, one can take a bus from Chicago to the University of Notre Dame via 95th Red Line Station, Chicago, IL, Michigan City, IN, and Notre Dame in around 4h 50m.

    United Airlines has flights every day from O’Hare airport in Chicago to South Bend, Indiana. The driving distance between Chicago and the University of Notre Dame is around 150kms. It takes approximately 2 hrs. to drive from Chicago to the University of Notre Dame.
