Eligibility & Documents Required for Admission
Before a student can be accepted, he or she must meet the basic entrance standards. In order to meet these requirements, an applicant must:

Have a bachelor's degree with a satisfactory grade-point average;

Have an acceptable and current score on the Graduate Record Examination or the Graduate Management Admission Test, as specified by the department or programme to which application is being made

Demonstrate potential for graduate work in the department or programme to which application is being made.

Be accepted by the department in which a degree is sought for admission. There are certain programs which want students to satisfactorily complete a background check review and submit it considering it as an important condition of admission.
TOEFL, IELTS, and Duolingo are all accepted by UTA. If English is not your first language, you must show that you have a sufficient command of the language in order to succeed in graduate school. Unless you have a bachelor's or master's degree from an approved U.S. university, you must submit official test score reports directly from the testing agency.

The application and the following credentials should be submitted at least 90 days before the estimated enrollment date:

Official transcripts of previous college work;

An official GRE or GMAT exam score that the intended programme requires

Letters of recommendation that the intended programme requires

Essay or statement of general academic plans that the intended programme requires

A $75 non-refundable application evaluation fee if no international college or university work has been done, or $90 if there has been foreign college or university work done.
Some graduate programmes may set application or consideration deadlines for graduate assistantship applicants that are sooner than Graduate Admissions' normal deadlines. These deadlines will be listed in each department's description of admission requirements. Applicants should thoroughly read the materials and submit their applications before the departmental deadline. Applicants should adhere to the Graduate Admissions dates outlined above if the department does not designate a deadline.

Some graduate programmes may have application priority dates that are earlier. The institution urges interested individuals to research their desired programme and apply by the program's application deadline. Applications are still accepted after the priority deadlines for each term, but you must submit your application and supporting papers by the priority dates to be considered for admission. To be eligible for program-specific financing opportunities such as assistantships and fellowships, you must apply far ahead of your desired start date.
