Civil engineering focuses on the design, maintenance and construction of the structures and infrastructures, whereas mineral engineering is the applied science of our interaction with the planet. Everything that humans use is either grown or mined.
In BASc in Civil Engineering, students can choose from a wide range of courses like transportation engineering and planning, building engineering, geomechanics, structural engineering, building engineering and environmental engineering. In BASc in Mineral Engineering, mineral exploration, mine design and management, mining finance and mineral processing are taught. The students are taught in the Lassonde Institute of Mining (a new $20 million international centre of excellence at the U of T). The course will cover topics in chemicals, materials, civil, computer and mechanical engineering as well as physics, maths and geology.
The Masters of Engineering in Civil Engineering programme. It is a course intended to provide advanced and continuing education to the recent graduates and civil engineers in professional practice.
Master of Engineering in Cities Engineering and Management (MEngCEM) – Master of Engineering in Cities Engineering and Management offers students a practicum to apply what they have learnt in their curriculum and to proactively respond to the changing needs of the cities.
Master of Applied Science is followed by a research thesis and includes a foundational base graduate course. Material Science and Engineering
The department of Material Science at the U of T offers four degrees, namely:

A degree of Bachelor of Applied science is provided to the graduates of the Industrial Engineering undergraduate program. The first two years provide the students with a broad understanding of the discipline, and in the third and fourth year, students are able to tailor their personal interests. Students can also pursue a thesis project in their final year.
Industrial Engineering undergraduate students are required to complete 600 hours of Practical Experience and:

The master of engineering (MEng) program provides graduate students with advanced professional training coursework and an optional project. Students have the option to complete the course on a full-time, extended full-time or part-time basis. Moreover, MEng. students can pursue an area of their choice like analytics, Robotics, mechatronics or advanced manufacturing and earn a certificate! For an MEng student who wants to pursue a PhD degree after graduation, MIE offers research-based Master of Applied Science (MASc) degree which is the usual path to the PhD program. However, the students must possess a strong academic record in their MEng Degree.

The Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE)
The Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) of U of T ranks among the top departments in North America. It has excellent research and teaching facilities which attract outstanding students from all over the world.
The University of Toronto provides BS, MS and PhD degrees in Electrical and Computer engineering. University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies (UTIAS)
The University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies (UTIAS), located in the Downs view district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is an advanced research facility for aerospace engineering and aeronautics. UTIAS boasts of a long tradition of excellence in aerospace engineering, research and education.
Students who want to study Aerospace science and engineering in their undergraduate years must enroll in a four-year undergraduate Engineering Science program. The students are taught about the basics with a strong emphasis on physics, chemistry, mathematics and computing is paid in the first two years. Towards the end of the second year, the student has to select a major for their 3rd and 4th year of study. Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering department is a part of the Institute of Biomaterial and Biomedical Engineering that offers Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD programs.
The graduate courses offered are Master of Health Science (MHSc), Master of Applied Science (MASc), Master of Engineering (MEng) and PhD.
The Master of Health Science (MHSc) is a two-year full-time engineering degree program consists of the research thesis, academic courses and practical exposure whereas Master of Applied Science and PhD is a research-based degree which involves conducting biomedical engineering research where engineering principles are applied to solve the biggest problems in biology and medicine.
