Vanderbilt University campus is located in Nashville and is spread across 330 acres. The campus is a National Arboretum and has more than 300 species of trees and shrubs. The campus is eclectically designed and has buildings of various eras and in different designs. The University offers state of the art facilities to its students and has also installed numerous CCTV for the safety of its student.

Residing Options

Vanderbilt University offers on-campus accommodation and dining facility to its students. In the year 2015-2016, students who chose on-campus accommodation paid $9,580 and an additional $5,090 for meals.

Faculty and pedagogy

The University has excellent faculty – most of who are recognized in their respective fields. Professors of the Math's and Engineering department are considered as one of the best in university. The Engineering school has 95 full-time professors and they are known to help out students even beyond working hours.

Financial aid

Though it is a private research University, Vanderbilt University offers scholarships and financial aid to its students. In fact, Out of 1,613 freshmen who enrolled at the University in 2017, 1,132 students received some kind of financial aid.

More than half the classes of incoming freshmen apply for financial aid and almost all of them manage to get some kind of financial help. That being said, if you want to receive a substantial amount of financial aid, you have to have a strong profile.

The average annual salary for students after completing their Master of Science (MS) degree is around $82,895 according to Payscale. On the other hand, the average annual salary for the Master of Engineering (MEng.) graduates is around $70,673 according to the same source. 95% of the students felt that the university’s Career Center was very helpful in their journey of securing a job.

Vanderbilt University is located in the midtown of Nashville in Tennessee on the West End Avenue. The campus location brings the best of both worlds of nature and the bustle of the city life. The University is only 1.5 miles from downtown Nashville.

The nearest airport is the Nashville International Airport which lies about 10 miles east of the main campus of the university via Edgehill Avenue and I-40E.
