The School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Queen's University Belfast offers a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. This degree program lasts for three years and focuses primarily on engineering topics. For international students, the tuition fees at Queen's University Belfast are £23,100 per year. To apply for this degree, students need to provide proof of their English language skills, which can be shown through tests like IELTS or PTE.

The degree program includes many topics, such as micro-electronic chip design and making, as well as power generation and distribution.

It reflects quick changes in areas like telecommunications, computer software and hardware, medical electronics, security, control and robotics, and renewable energy systems.

This is a special three-year Honours degree. All BEng students usually need to complete at least 12 weeks of accepted work training before they graduate.

The BEng degree can also include a year in industry. This year of professional experience is typically taken after the second stage of the program. Students can switch from BEng to MEng at the end of Stage 2 if they perform well.

Students can do a paid placement in a company for a year, and there are many companies to choose from. Our students have done placements at companies like BT, Sensata Technologies, Andor Technology, NIE Networks, BAE Systems, Atkins, Microsoft, and Seagate.

Students can also gain summer work experience through the IAESTE international exchange program. Some of the countries where our students have participated in this program include Canada, Croatia, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Malaysia.

12th Grade

Students must have completed their 12th grade from CBSE, CISCE, or State Boards of Higher Secondary Education with at least 80% overall marks. They also need a minimum of 75% in Mathematics and at least one of the following subjects: Physics (preferred), Biology, Chemistry, Technology and Design, Electronics, Further Mathematics, or Double Award Life & Health Sciences.

IELTS

Marks: 6.0

Students must score at least 5.5 in each section of the IELTS.

PTE

Marks: 55.0

Students need a minimum score of 51 in each component of the PTE.
