Queen's University Belfast offers a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering through its School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. To gain admission to the BEng Mechanical Engineering program, applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English. Accepted tests for proving English language skills include IELTS and PTE.

Mechanical engineers apply their skills in math and science to create new technology that works well and is cost-effective.

The program builds essential skills in math, science, and engineering design, while also teaching students how to use important engineering software that is needed for today's mechanical engineers.

Students learn about basic mechanical engineering concepts and math, and they work on team projects that help them understand what it means to be a professional engineer.

This learning is supported by courses in engineering design and hands-on laboratory work.

Students will take courses such as Introduction to Mechanical Engineering 1, Mechanics of Materials 1, Laboratory Programme 1, and Dynamic Systems 1, among others.

12th Grade

To apply, students must have completed the Standard Indian XII (10+2) exams from CBSE, CISCE, or State Boards. They need a minimum overall average of 80%. Additionally, students should have at least 75% in important subjects. Required subjects include Mathematics and at least one from Physics (preferred), Biology, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Technology and Design, or Double Award Life & Health Sciences.

IELTS

Marks: 6.0

Students must score at least 5.5 in each test.

PTE

Marks: 55.0

Students must score a minimum of 51 in each component.

Step 1: Prepare Documents for Application

Before applying, gather all necessary documents. One important document is the Letter of Recommendation (LOR).
