    Applicants must have finished a university-preparatory secondary or high school program. A cumulative GPA of B (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) is needed. All prerequisite subjects must be completed with grades of C or better. The required subjects include: 2 years of Social Science (including one year of U.S. history or U.S. history and government), 4 years of English, 3 years of Mathematics (algebra, geometry, and intermediate algebra; four years are recommended), 2 years of Laboratory Science (one biological and one physical science, both with labs), 2 years of a Foreign Language (the same language, subject to waiver for those showing equivalent competence), 1 year of Visual or Performing Arts (one full year-long course or two semester-long courses in the same discipline), and 1 year of Electives (from English, advanced mathematics, social science, history, laboratory science, foreign language, visual and performing arts, or other approved courses).
