Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

Statement of Purpose (SOP)

Your SOP is important. It should be around 500 words. In your SOP, explain your plans after graduation. Discuss how your education, experience, and growth so far will help you with those plans. Also, explain how this graduate program will help you reach your goals.

Letters of Recommendation (LOR)

Letters of recommendation are needed. The number of letters required varies by college:

• College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters: 3 letters
• College of Engineering and Computer Science: 2 letters for master’s level. These should come from people who know you as an engineer, like a professor or research advisor, or a supervisor or manager.
• College of Education, Health, and Human Services: 3 letters
• College of Business: 1 letter

Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Provide a current copy of your CV or resume. It should be no longer than two pages for master’s applicants. Include your education, work experience, research, teaching, internships, professional affiliations, volunteer work, community service, and any relevant honors or awards.

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

• Official transcripts from all schools you attended.
• GRE or GMAT scores (if needed).
• English language test scores (TOEFL or IELTS).
• Proof of financial resources.

The Financial Affidavit and Bank Certification forms are not required for admission but will be considered. If you have international transcripts, you will need an additional evaluation.
