The oral biology concentration in the M.S. in Microbiology and Immunology is a two-year program. In the first year, students complete formal coursework and then work on an original research project. This project is supervised by a faculty adviser and ends with an oral defense of their thesis.
The curriculum and research opportunities are customized for three main career paths: getting into a D.D.S. program, entering a Ph.D. program, or working in a health sciences research lab.
