The Architectural Engineering degree is a four-year program that is accredited by ABET. In the fourth year, students complete a capstone design project.

This program builds on WPI’s strong background in math and basic science, providing a solid foundation in engineering sciences related to the built environment.

Along with general courses in architectural engineering, students can choose to focus on either structural or mechanical design. They can take electives such as Design of Steel Structures, Pre-stressed Concrete Design, and Building Energy Simulation.
