What are the benefits of the Deakin Vice Chancellor's Meritorious Scholarship?

Since its inception in 2014, the Deakin Vice-Chancellor's Meritorious 100% Scholarship has been awarded to 23 Indian students. The advantages of this scholarship programme include the following:

  • list items The total indicative tuition fee specified on the Letter of Offer is paid in full.
  • list items Priority placement for on-campus housing (at own expense and subject to availability).
  • The scholarships are awarded in acknowledgment of an industrial partner - BIOCON for STEM and Rajasthan Royals for Sports - in selected academic disciplines (STEM, Sports, Arts, and one other field).

    What is the eligibility criteria for the Deakin Vice Chancellor’s Meritorious Scholarship?

    All of the following selection criteria must be met in order to be eligible:

  • list items The applicant must be an Indian citizen with a current Indian passport.
  • list items You need to be a resident of India at the time of application. 
  • list items You need to apply through any Deakin Authorised agent in India.
  • list items You need to meet the academic eligibility criteria listed below: 
  • list items 85% in CBSE / ICSE / State Board Year 12 results; OR 
  • list items 10 in the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) / A Level; OR 
  • list items 32 in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP); OR 
  • list items 80% in an undergraduate degree.
  • All requirements must be met. This scholarship is contingent on acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined in the acceptance form.
