Since its inception in 2014, the Deakin Vice-Chancellor's Meritorious 100% Scholarship has been awarded to 23 Indian students. The advantages of this scholarship programme include the following:
The total indicative tuition fee specified on the Letter of Offer is paid in full.
Priority placement for on-campus housing (at own expense and subject to availability).
The scholarships are awarded in acknowledgment of an industrial partner - BIOCON for STEM and Rajasthan Royals for Sports - in selected academic disciplines (STEM, Sports, Arts, and one other field).

All of the following selection criteria must be met in order to be eligible:
The applicant must be an Indian citizen with a current Indian passport.
You need to be a resident of India at the time of application.
You need to apply through any Deakin Authorised agent in India.
You need to meet the academic eligibility criteria listed below:
85% in CBSE / ICSE / State Board Year 12 results; OR
10 in the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) / A Level; OR
32 in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP); OR
80% in an undergraduate degree.
All requirements must be met. This scholarship is contingent on acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined in the acceptance form.
All applicants will be automatically evaluated for the scholarship and notified of the outcome after the selection process. A scholarship application form is not required.

You need to submit the following documents:
A 300-word personal statement
Two references who can comment on your community engagement and/or leadership capacity a completed application to study at Deakin with academic transcripts.
Your personal statement must be prepared entirely by you and must reflect your personal opinions. It should include:
A summary of your reasons for wanting to study at Deakin University
An outline of any extracurricular activities and job experience (paid or voluntary) you have undertaken
Why you think you would become a great ambassador for Deakin University or
Any other information that would support your application.
You may also be invited to an interview.
Fuel your abroad education -
Deakin University administrators will begin considering each scholarship applicant after receiving all applications and accompanying paperwork. Students will be notified of the results of the selection process in due course.
Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview as part of the selection process, depending on the requirements. In that instance, the applicant's interview session will be used to make the final selection.
