Application Process for Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

Letters of Recommendation (LOR): You need to submit two letters of recommendation from a teacher and/or counselor as part of your application.

Essays: Write a 500-word essay that is part of your application. For the Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management (BS in HIIM), include a typed autobiographical essay of at least 300-500 words. Answer the following questions in your essay:

• Why do you want to enter the HIIM profession?
• What life or work experiences have led you to pursue a degree in HIIM?
• What are your career goals, and how will a bachelor’s degree in HIIM help you achieve those goals?

Curriculum Vitae (CV): Submit a professional resume if you are applying for the Bachelor of Architecture (BArch).

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

Undergraduate Application: You need to submit an official or certified copy of all your secondary and post-secondary records and examination results. If your documents are from a non-U.S. institution, they must be evaluated by a foreign credential evaluation agency.

Submit all AICE, AP, IB, or CLEP results if you have earned college credit through these programs.

If English is not your native language, you must submit official TOEFL and/or IELTS test scores.

Provide an official GED transcript if applicable.

If you are entering as a freshman or sophomore transfer student, submit your official ACT (code: 0726) and/or Redesigned SAT (code: 5215) results.

Include a copy of your passport.

Complete the International Student Financial Statement.

For B.Arch: You will need a professional statement and a satisfactory portfolio review score.
