The Master of Social Work (MSW) program at La Salle University focuses on a person-in-environment approach. It equips students with the essential knowledge, values, and skills needed for advanced social work practice aimed at improving the well-being of individuals, families, and communities.

In the MSW program, students will learn to engage in reflective and reflexive practices. They will be trained to become change agents who think critically and work towards the common good.

La Salle offers both full-time and part-time options for its 60-credit traditional MSW program, as well as a 30-credit advanced standing program.

12th Grade

There is no specific cutoff mentioned for 12th grade requirements.

Graduation

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program completed within the last seven years. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required, and students must get a final course grade of B- or higher in all undergraduate social work field and practice courses. If a student has a GPA below the minimum, they may be accepted provisionally for one semester. To continue in the program, they must achieve a minimum GPA of 3.25 in SWK courses by the end of that semester.
