The program offers two options for students:
Thesis option: This requires 24 hours of coursework, 1 hour of graduate seminar, and 6 hours of thesis research.
Non-thesis option: This requires 30 hours of coursework and 1 hour of graduate seminar. Students can include up to 6 hours of "Directed Individual Study" courses in these 30 hours. An oral presentation is also required.
