The main goals of the undergraduate Molecular Biology major are to give students a deeper understanding of molecular studies compared to our regular Biology program. This program also prepares students with the latest methods that have changed how biology is studied in recent years.
Molecular biology affects almost every other area in biological sciences, and its growth has led to more graduate and professional programs.
The Molecular Biology curriculum will equip undergraduate students with essential knowledge about the principles and practices in the fast-evolving field of molecular biology.

12th Grade
Students must have completed class 12th with a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. They are required to finish at least 16 units of college-preparatory coursework, including: four units of English, three units of mathematics (which must include Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra II), two units of the same foreign language, two units of laboratory science, two units of social sciences, and three additional units from any of the above areas. Students who take more challenging courses, such as higher-level mathematics, additional laboratory science, or Advanced Placement and honors courses, are looked upon favorably in the admissions process. The best candidates usually have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
