There is no specific cutoff for 12th grade, but applicants must have completed high school. Required subjects include: 4 years of English, 3 years of Math, 3 years of Lab Science, 3 years of Social Science, and 2 years of Electives. To enter the mathematics and statistics program, students must either complete College Algebra and Pre-calculus Mathematics with Trigonometry, or have a GPA of 2.0 or higher in all university math courses and in all courses taken at SIUE. Alternatively, students can complete seven semesters of university preparatory math courses in high school, including one in trigonometry, with no grades lower than a C.
