Master of Accounting at Texas Christian University

Texas Christian University (TCU) offers a Master of Accounting program through the Neeley School of Business. This program lasts for one year and is designed to equip students with the skills needed for a successful career in accounting. The tuition fee for this Master's program is $59,000. To apply for the Master of Accounting at TCU, students must demonstrate their English language skills. Accepted tests for English proficiency include IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE.

The Master of Accounting (MAc) program at Texas Christian University is a 30-hour, full-time course.

Graduation

Students must have completed a BBA at TCU Neeley or a similar program. They also need to finish prerequisite courses that meet the standards of the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA). The required courses include: Intermediate I Accounting, Intermediate II Accounting, Cost Accounting, U.S. Taxation, Audit & Assurance Services, and Accounting Information Systems. These courses must be taught according to U.S. GAAP, U.S. tax law, and U.S. PCAOB/AICPA auditing standards. Applicants must have an average GPA of 3.0 or higher in these courses.

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

• Letter of Recommendation (LOR)
• Two completed reference forms

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

• Official Transcript from all colleges and universities attended
• GMAT scores
• English language proficiency scores
• Application Packet:
• Electronically submit an application packet that includes:
• Cover letter (not exceeding one page, written like a business letter)
• Resume
• Personal statement (not exceeding two pages, with one-inch margins and double-spaced text)
• I-20 Request Form (completed by department)
• Copy of International Student and Scholar Form (filled out by student)
• Copy of TCU Application for Admission
• Copy of the student’s admission letter
• Copy of any scholarship, assistantship, or award letter(s)
• Transfer verification form if the student is currently studying in the United States
• Student Financial Statement (completed and signed by student and sponsor, if any)
• Copy of the sponsor's bank statements for the past six months
• Proof of the sponsor's employment and monthly salary

Step Four: Application Fees

The application fee is USD 60 (approximately INR 5.06 Thousand).

International students living outside the U.S. and attending the August orientation should pay at least 40% of their total charges (tuition, fees, room, and board) during orientation or by September 5 (February 5 for January entrants). The remaining balance is due in three monthly payments.
