To be eligible for admission, you need a bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, biology, or forensic science from an accredited school. If you have a B.S. degree in forensics, it should be from a FEPAC-accredited program. A chemistry degree is acceptable if it includes courses in instrumental and quantitative chemistry. A biology degree is acceptable if it includes courses in biochemistry and cellular and molecular biology. You must have an overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or a GPA of 3.2 for the last 60 semester hours in a BA/BS program. Additionally, a GPA of 3.0 is required for all previous graduate coursework. It is recommended that students complete at least two of the following courses with a grade of B or higher: quantitative chemistry, instrumental chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, and statistics.
