To apply, students must have completed high school. They should have taken at least four units of English, three units of mathematics (including Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry; Trigonometry is highly suggested), three units of science, and four units of history or social studies. Additionally, students need to complete academic electives to reach a total of twenty Carnegie high school units. These electives can include foreign language, computer programming, religion, philosophy, and higher-level science and math courses. If students lack any required courses, they may still be accepted but must complete those courses in their first year. These courses cannot count towards their degree.
