The B.S. in Health and Physical Education helps students get ready for jobs in teaching, the health and fitness industry, and recreation services, as well as for further studies.

This program has two main areas of focus: Fitness and Sport Coaching, and Physical Education Teacher Education.

Students will take part in hands-on learning experiences that will help them gain real-world skills. These practical experiences will prepare them to do well in their future jobs.

12th Grade

To apply, students must have completed high school with a minimum GPA of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale. They should have studied: four units of English (three with significant writing), three units of math (at least algebra I level), three units of natural science (two with lab work), three units of social science (like history or psychology), two units of the same foreign language or American Sign Language, and two additional elective units from approved academic areas.

TOEFL

Marks: 71.0

A minimum score of 71 out of 120 is required in the TOEFL exam.

IELTS

Marks: 6.0

Students need to score at least 6 out of 9 in the IELTS exam.

DUOLINGO

Marks: 95.0

Applicants must score at least 95 out of 160 in the Duolingo English Test.

PTE

Marks: 50.0

Candidates need a score of 50 out of 90 in the PTE exam.

Step One: Additional Documents Required

• Applicants must submit certified transcripts showing all previous academic courses, including any post-secondary education.
• Applicants need to complete and submit the following medical information: A Physician’s Evaluation Form and a Medical History Form filled out by a doctor, showing that the applicant is fit, both mentally and physically, to study at the college level. Documentation of MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) immunization. Proof of immunization for meningitis and hepatitis B, or a signed waiver stating that the applicant has decided not to be vaccinated.
• Applicants must provide proof of medical insurance that meets the university's policy requirements.
• Certification of Finances.
• Proof of English language proficiency.
• Standardized test scores (ACT or SAT).

Step Three: Application Fees for This Course

• Application Fee: USD 30 (approximately INR 2.53 Thousand).
• Mode of Payment: Credit Card.
• The University of West Florida offers a payment plan with up to five installments for the fall and spring semesters. The summer semester allows up to four installments. The number of installments available depends on when the applicant enrolls in the payment plan.
• An account balance of $300 or more is needed to qualify for the payment plan.
• Late payments will incur late fees: $100 for tuition and $50 for housing.
• A one-time enrollment charge of $15 will be added to the first payment.
