The General Engineering program at Winona State University offers students a strong foundation in engineering through core courses. After completing these courses, students can choose one of two specializations: Electronics or Industrial Statistics, to fulfill their graduation requirements.
In this program, students will learn:
How to use engineering design to create solutions that meet specific needs, while considering public health, safety, and welfare, along with global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
How to communicate effectively with different audiences.
How to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering. Students will learn to make informed decisions that take into account the effects of engineering solutions on global, economic, environmental, and social issues.

To apply to Winona State University, students need a high school diploma from a recognized school with a minimum GPA of 2.5. They should have completed courses in English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, a World Language, and Electives. Students with a GPA of 3.00 or in the top 50% of their class can be admitted without needing ACT/SAT scores.
