The Arturo Falaschi Short-term Postdoctoral Fellowships provide the following benefits to its applicants.
Monthly stipend: Euro 2,000 in Trieste (Italy), INR 1,32,485 in New Delhi (India), and ZAR 23,000 in Cape Town (South Africa).
Travel: The fellowship includes a provision for travel expenses from the participant's home country to the ICGEB lab at the start of the fellowship and a provision for return travel at the end of the fellowship.
For the duration of the fellowship, medical health insurance is provided.
Visa/stay permit application and renewal fees are reimbursed.
The ICGEB does not make financial or administrative provisions for family members of programme participants.
ICGEB New Delhi: For a nominal fee, a guest house is operated on campus for twin-share stays. ICGEB Cape Town: Fellows receive assistance with housing. Before coming, arrangements are made.
Applicants must be citizens of an ICGEB Member State. They are not eligible to apply for fellowships to be completed in their home country unless they have been employed abroad for the previous three years at the time of application.
Requirements for degrees: applicants should have completed their PhD in the life sciences within the last three years or hold a current PhD.
Preference is given to candidates below the age of 35.
Creating an account in the ICGEB Service Gateway (ISG) at https://isg.icgeb.org/auth/login is the first crucial step. So you need to create an account in the first step.
After that you need to fill out the Registration form and click "Sign up" to create a new account. Please remember to check the Data Protection Policy authorization box.
Please cross-check your name and surname (they must match your passport or any other official identification document) because they will appear in all of your applications' documents (letter of award, visa supporting documents, etc.) before submitting your application.
By registering and logging in, you will be able to apply for Fellowships, CRP, Meetings, and Courses, as well as manage your applications via the top-bar menu.

A written statement from the ICGEB Group Leader
A valid identification document (passport or identity card). Passports should be valid for at least 12 months.
English Diploma (TOEFL, Cambridge, or equivalent). When scholastic education is completed in English, this document is not required.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome via e-mail as soon as possible after the application deadline. The scientific excellence of the project, the qualities of the candidate's CV, and the potential benefit to the home country are the main selection criteria.
