The German Chancellor Fellowship for prospective leaders brings you to Germany for one year to implement a project idea you have developed. They help you network with international future leaders to find new solutions to global issues. They offer you:
A monthly fellowship grant of 2,200 euros, 2,500 euros, or 2,700 euros, depending on your training and career level.
An intensive language course before your fellowship begins and funding for German courses during your fellowship.
Individual support throughout your stay in Germany.
Additional financial support, including for mobility, accompanying family members, travel expenses, private health insurance, or additional German language courses.

Additionally, your host will receive a monthly subsidy of 500 euros to cover project-related expenses.
The German Chancellor Fellowship Program supports emerging leaders, influencers, and innovators across various industries. They invite you to apply if you meet the following criteria:
You hold Brazilian, Chinese, Indian, South African, or American citizenship.
You work in fields such as politics, business, media, administration, society, or culture and have demonstrated initial leadership experience.
You completed your first academic degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) no more than twelve years ago, as of 1 October 2024.
You wish to conduct an independently developed project with a host of your choice in Germany.
You have good knowledge of English and/or German.

Don't limit yourself to scholarships -
The benefits of building a network with fellows from the same year group are as follows:
Yes. The fellowships are active from August 01 of the year of selection to March 31 of the year after the next. Students can plan their 12 months of study in between this time frame.
Students can use the online form “declaration of acceptance” to inform the foundation on how they will distribute the fellowship period. The form will be available on the student’s personal dashboard after two or three weeks of selection.
The fellowship period can be reduced but not extended. To reduce the period, students can submit an informal letter to the foundation. However, 6 months is the minimum period for the German Chancellor Fellowship.
There is no grant for attending seminars or conferences in the German Chancellor Fellowship Program. However, there will be a mobility allowance of 100 euros per month to travel within Germany for personal and academic purposes.
There is no age limit specified for the German Chancellor Fellowship Program. However, it is mandatory that applicants for the fellowship must have completed their first academic degree within the past 12 years.
