What is the eligibility criteria for the Google Lime Scholarship?

Scholarship Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • list items A current undergraduate, graduate, or Ph.D. student enrolled at a university in the United States or Canada (freshmen/first-year students and international students studying in the United States or Canada are eligible to apply); and 
  • list items Continuing current studies or intending to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student in a new programme (e.g., graduating and pursuing an advanced degree) at a university in the United States or Canada in the 2022-2023 academic year
  • list items Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field (such as software engineering or electrical engineering with a heavy computer science course load)
  • list items Maintaining a high level of academic performance
  • list items A student with a visible or invisible disability (defined as someone who has, or believes they have, a long-term or recurring issue that affects one or more major activities that others may consider to be a daily function); this definition also includes others' perception that a disability exists. We know that 90% of disabilities on campus are invisible, and we encourage candidates with all disabilities to apply.
  • list items Demonstrate leadership and a commitment to and passion for computer science and technology.
  • list items Unfortunately, previous Google Lime Scholars will not be considered.
