MEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering

Bournemouth University has a Department of Design & Engineering that offers a Master of Engineering (MEng) with Honors in Mechanical Engineering. This program lasts for five years and focuses mainly on engineering subjects. The tuition fee for international students at Bournemouth University is £14,500. To enroll in this degree course, students need to provide proof of English language proficiency through tests such as IELTS or PTE.

The degree offers two flexible options for students: a BEng (Hons) that can be completed in four years or an MEng (Hons) that takes five years.

This program is designed to provide a strong foundation in all areas of engineering. It helps students understand new technologies in the field and teaches them how to apply these technologies in real-life situations.

Important subjects include Electrical and Electronic Principles, Materials and Processing, Manufacturing and Production, Fluids and Thermodynamics, Thermofluids and Energy Conversion, and Project Management at the MEng level, among others.

After gaining the necessary experience in an engineering role, students can apply for IEng (with a BEng) or CEng (with an MEng) status.

12th Grade

Applicants must have a Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or Standard XII with an average percentage of at least 65%. Required subjects include Maths, English, and any Science or Technology subject.

IELTS

Marks: 6.0

Candidates must score at least 5.5 in each of the four components of the IELTS.

PTE

Marks: 54.0

Applicants should score at least 51 in each component of the PTE.
