Swansea University Medical School offers a Graduate Entry MBBCH Medicine program. This is a four-year degree course focused on Medicine and Health Sciences. The program is unique in Wales and is one of the few medical study programs in the UK that accepts graduates from any field, whether they are from the UK, EU, or other countries.

This fast-paced, four-year medical degree uses a modern, integrated curriculum that mirrors how doctors interact with patients and how patients approach doctors.

Students will learn basic biomedical sciences while also studying clinical medicine, public health, pathology, treatment methods, ethics, and social issues related to patient care.

Throughout the program, students will develop the knowledge, skills, and personal qualities needed to practice medicine effectively and confidently.

As students advance in their studies, they will have extensive clinical contact, which includes:

• Clinical Apprenticeships, which feature one week of nursing practice
• Junior Assistantship
• Specialty attachments in areas such as acute surgery, acute medicine, women's health, child health, mental health, various medical and surgical specialties, and care for the elderly.
• Community-based learning
• Senior Assistantship, where they will shadow Foundation Year 1 (F1) doctors
• Elective opportunities

The program is divided into two phases: Phase I covers Years 1 and 2, and Phase II covers Years 3 and 4. Each year aligns with the General Medical Council's (GMC) Outcomes for Graduates (2015), which include three main areas:

• Scholar and Scientist
• Practitioner
• Professional

12th Grade

To apply for Graduate Entry Medicine, applicants need to have, or expect to have, certain qualifications by July 31 of the year they want to start. They can have either: an upper second (2.1) or first class degree in any subject, a merit or distinction in an integrated undergraduate master's degree, or a lower second (2.2) along with a Postgraduate Master's or PhD. Required subjects include Mathematics and English. If an applicant has more than one undergraduate degree, the most recent degree's result will be used.

IELTS

Marks: 7.0

Applicants must score at least 7.0 in speaking and 6.5 in listening, reading, and writing.

PTE

Marks: 67.0

No component score should be less than 67.
