The M.S. Program in Counseling Psychology is created to fulfill California's educational requirements for becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
Licensed counselors can find jobs in public and non-profit areas, such as county mental health clinics, child guidance clinics, group foster homes, school districts, hospitals, HMOs, juvenile halls, and prison settings.
