The Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems equips students for important roles in the business world by blending a solid understanding of computer science with a complete minor in Business Administration.
This degree combines elements of both a traditional computer science degree and a standard business information systems degree.
Students will complete the core requirements of the computer science degree along with the business administration minor. They will do less software development compared to a pure computer science degree but will learn about many other important topics.
Graduates of the Computer Information Systems program will be able to:
12th Grade
Students must finish a university-preparatory secondary/high school program. They need a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of B, which is 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The following subjects must be completed with grades of C or better: 2 years of Social Science (including one year of U.S. history or U.S. history and government), 4 years of English, 3 years of Mathematics (algebra, geometry, and intermediate algebra; four years are recommended), 2 years of Laboratory Science (one biological and one physical science, both with labs), 2 years of a Foreign Language (same language, can be waived for those showing equivalent skills), 1 year of Visual or Performing Arts (art, dance, drama/theatre, or music, which can be one full year-long course or two semester-long courses in the same area), and 1 year of Electives (from approved subjects on the UC/CSU 'a-g' list).

The tuition fee installment contract is available for students who do not receive financial aid. This contract allows students to defer tuition fees.
A non-refundable contract fee of $33 is required each semester, and a new contract must be filled out every semester.
Campus fees are due by the payment deadline.
The tuition is divided into three payments, with a service fee applied to the first payment.
1st Installment: September for Fall / February for Spring - 1/3 of Tuition + Contract Fee.
2nd Installment: October for Fall / March for Spring - 1/3 of Tuition.
3rd Installment: November for Fall / April for Spring - 1/3 of Tuition.
Payments are due at the beginning of each month (September, October, and November for Fall; February, March, and April for Spring).
Spring Semester (January): September 30th.
Fall Semester (August): May 1st.
