Graduation

Applicants must have a 4-year university degree that is equal to a U.S. bachelor's degree. The degree should be from an accredited institution or an equivalent approved by Graduate Studies. It should include at least 24 upper-division units in subjects like biochemistry, chemistry, nutrition and food science, mathematics, microbiology, physiology, and statistics. Computer skills are also needed. If students lack some undergraduate preparation, they may need to take extra courses as decided by the Graduate Coordinator after talking with the student and faculty.
