Students who completed their education outside the U.S. must have finished 12 years of elementary and secondary schooling with a grade average of 'B' or better. They need to pass high school with at least 15 units of college preparatory courses, where each unit equals one year of study in a subject. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required, and students must earn a grade of C or higher in each course. Required subjects include English, Mathematics (algebra, geometry, and intermediate algebra), History/Social Science, Laboratory Science, a language other than English (with a possible waiver), Visual/Performing Arts (in the same discipline), and elective courses. SAT scores are not needed for international students who completed their secondary education outside the U.S.
