Psychology is the scientific study of behavior. To learn more about behavior, psychologists study both humans and animals.
The program includes many topics, from how our brains and bodies work to how our social environment and culture affect us.

This program is made to give each student a full understanding of the main areas of psychology and the methods used in psychological research.

12th Grade
To apply, students must have completed high school or an equivalent program. A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is required, which is the equivalent of a 'C+'. Students should complete a college preparatory study pattern of 15 units with grades of C- or better. This includes: - 2 years of social science (including 1 year of U.S. history or U.S. history and government) - 4 years of English - 3 years of math (algebra, geometry, and intermediate algebra; 4 years are recommended) - 2 years of laboratory science (1 biological and 1 physical, both must include lab instruction) - 2 years of the same foreign language (waiver possible for those with equivalent skills) - 1 year of visual and performing arts (art, dance, drama/theater, or music) - 1 year of electives from approved courses.
